Unlike speculations that T.O.P is getting special treatment inside Nonsan Training Center, recent claims suggested otherwise after the BIGBANG member reportedly admitted his mistake for improper wearing of military uniform.

Just a couple of days ago, the idol drew flak for wearing his name tag on the left side rather than on the right side. Netizens, particularly male Koreans who have completed their military duties, slammed T.O.P and accused him of enjoying the perks of being a celebrity.

"A non-celebrity would've got in so much trouble for what he did," a commenter said. Another one posted, "Even a little mistake like that would've caused the entire group to get in trouble."

Amid accusations, a source affiliated with Nonsan Training Center released a statement to address the matter. "Trainee Choi Seung Hyun (T.O.P) must have been confused and mistakenly wore it on the other side," the insider said as per Allkpop.

After their initial statement, the bootcamp clarified T.O.P humbly accepted his mistake after he was informed of it. Koreaboo cited the BIGBANG member immediately transferred his name tag to its proper place to correct his fault.

The idol's act clears out speculations that celebrities like him receive special treatments inside the military. The BIGBANG member will stay at Nonsan Training Center to receive a four-week training. After completing the basic training, he will be transferred to Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency to continue his duty as a guard band member.

Meanwhile, T.O.P's fans are just hopeful that their idol will grow and learn while serving his country. Others, on the other hand, are still sad that the BIGBANG member will be on a hiatus for a while.

But despite T.O.P's absence, BIGBANG will continue its promotional activities as a four-member group. The popular band even plans to hold a series of shows in Japan this May.
