"The LEGO Ninjago Movie" crew assembles to defend the Ninjago City with Jackie Chan's character Sensei Wu leading them. Get ready to see some Kung Fu moves.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "The LEGO Ninjago Movie" is exploring a new part of the Lego movie universe in the first trailer. It centers on the battle of Ninjago City, which sees Lloyd ("The Lego Movie" actor Dave Franco) and his friends called to action and defend the whole city.

In the trailer of "The LEGO Ninjago Movie," the secret warriors and Lego Master Builders are led by their kung fu master Wu ("Kung Fu Yoga" actor Jackie Chan), as they battle the villain Garmadon ("Megamind" actor Justin Theroux), who is also Lloyd's father. With mech fighting mech and father fighting son, the undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas will learn to check their egos and pull together to save the city.

"The LEGO Ninjago Movie" voice cast includes Fred Armisen, Abbi Jacobson, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Olivia Munn, and Michael Pena. Rounding out the cast of characters are Munn as Lloyd's mother, with Armisen, Jacobson, Nanjiani, Peña, and Woods voicing the rest of Lloyd's secret ninja team, Deadline reported.

Charlie Bean directed "The LEGO Ninjago Movie" based on the line of Lego construction sets. Tom & Bill Wheeler rewrote the script, which was originally penned by Hilary Winston & Bob Logan & Paul Fisher from a story by Kevin Hageman & Dan Hageman and Winston, Logan and Fisher.

"The LEGO Ninjago Movie" also marks Bean's feature film directorial debut. It is based on Lego's ninja-themed toys with the animation closely resembling the 2014's hit "The Lego Movie" and "The Lego Batman Movie," which is currently in theaters now.

The producers of "The LEGO Ninjago Movie" include "The Lego Movie" team of Dan Lin, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Roy Lee, along with Jill Wilfert, Chris McKay, Seth Grahame-Smith, and Keith Malone as executive producers. Warner Bros will distribute worldwide.

"The Lego Ninjago Movie" was originally scheduled for September 2016 but was delayed for a year, until Sept. 22, 2017.
