"Law & Order" has been aired for many seasons and it is just fitting to have the women that made the series as it is to share her thoughts and ideas about the series. According to E Online, "Law & Order: SVU" star Mariska Hargitay stepped behind the camera once again to direct an episode of the long-running NBC series, but it wasn't just any episode because Hargitay helmed the series' landmark 400th episode, "Motherly Love."

The same post relayed that in the episode, a teen boy uses a rifle to stop an assault on his mother and because this is "Law & Order: SVU", there are twists, like the fact that the teen knows his target.

The guest cast of "Law & Order: SVU" comprises of Sarah Wynter, Aaron Sanders, Delaney Williams, Gage Polchlopek, Jason Bowen, Jenna Stern, Benton Greene, Daniel Cosgrove, Chantal Jean-Pierre, Olivia Sargent and Donald Dasg.

More reports from Tvbythenumbers regarding "Law & Order: SVU" shared that "Motherly Love" is in fact the 400th episode of the series to be filmed and it's the fifth episode Hargitay has directed, and it's likely to pull-in above average ratings given the promotional push NBC has put behind it.

On a different note, "SVU" has an episode in the can featuring guest star Gary Cole as a wealthy businessman-turned-political candidate who's dogged by allegations of sexual misconduct and it was inspired by then-candidate Donald Trump and the episode was originally scheduled to air in the fall, but NBC has now shelved it indefinitely.

For the fans and followers of "Law & Order: SVU," more thrilling scenes and challenges are expected to come out with its 400th making debut. The series airs every Wednesday, 9 p.m. on NBC.
