The Boston Celtics (31-18) will host the Los Angeles Lakers (17-35) on Friday, Feb. 3 at the TD Garden as the 2016-2017 NBA regular season moves forward.

Los Angeles has continued to struggle this season, losing four of their last five matches and nine of their last 11. The Hollywood squad is second from the last place in the West right now with the Phoenix Suns having the worst record only a half-game behind.

The Lakers fell to the Washington Wizards, 116-108, on Thursday night on the road at the Verizon Center, as per the Los Angeles Times.

Head coach Luke Walton's squad managed to come back from a 19-point deficit only to succumb in the fourth quarter to John Wall and the Wizards.

Starters D'Angelo Russell and Luol Deng both scored 17 points with Russell also dishing off 11 assists and grabbing seven rebounds. Deng also had six boards. Tarik Black started for the Lakers and chipped in a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds in a losing effort.

Jordan Clarkson top-scored for the Lakers with 20 points and two boards off the bench while Lou Williams added 15 points, two rebounds, and four assists also in the second unit.

Meanwhile, the Celtics extended their winning streak to five games as they defeated Eastern Conference rivals Toronto Raptors, 109-104, also at the TD Garden last Wednesday, TSN reported.

Isaiah Thomas had another big fourth quarter, scoring 19 of his 44 points in the final period, to lead Boston in the tightly-contested match. He also had four rebounds and seven assists.

Jae Crowder added 14 points and eight boards while Al Horford contributed 11 points, three rebounds, and six assists despite shooting only 4-for-13 from the field.

Off the bench, Marcus Smart chipped in 10 points, five boards, five assists, and two steals.

Prediction 

The Lakers are a poor road team with a 5-22 slate so far this season while the Celtics are excellent at home with a 17-8 record. Another huge win for Boston is predicted.
