South Korean rookie group BLACKPINK has recently made another milestone in their career as their single “BOOMBAYAH” reaches over 100 million hits on the video-sharing platform YouTube.

Because of their latest achievement, the band has received thousands of greetings not only from their Korean supporters but the international community as well. Furthermore, the girls are now among the KPop groups that have attained more than a hundred million views on YouTube. This includes TWICE, BIGBANG, Girls’ Generation, Super Junior, EXO, 2NE1, BTS, and many more, Soompi reports.

Aside from the success of their viewership, the group’s fan base is also having a massive expansion. In fact, in a span of 6 months, the group’s YouTube subscribers have boosted to more than 2 million.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK was recently confirmed to attend the “Gaon Music Awards” which will be held at the Jamsil Arena ( Jamsil Indoor Stadium) in Seoul. Joining the group in the event are SISTAR, EXO, MAMAMOO, G-Friend, TWICE, SHINee's Onew, and so on.

According to an event representative as quoted by All Pop: “On February 22 groups BTS, Black Pink, GOT7, NCT 127, and Urban Zakapa have been confirmed to be attending the 'Gaon Music Awards."

Moreover, group member Jisoo is also set to be one of the hosts in the SBS' “Inkigayo” alongside GOT7's Jinyoung. However, the network has not yet revealed the third MC to join the two stars.

BLACKPINK made their debut in the industry last year under the management of talent management agency YG Entertainment. Considered as the first group to be handled by the group for 7 years after 2NE1. the group is made up of four members namely Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, Rosé.

After they were introduced to the public, the group released their album titled “Square One”. It was followed by “Square Two” three months after.
