Cao Lu's recent appearance on the Jan. 28 episode of "Ask Us Anything" disclosed Fiestar's lack of income from their agency, Loen Entertainment, even after 4 years from debut.

Fiestar debuted on Aug. 28, 2012 and have released 2 mini-albums and 9 singles so far. But despite their activities from the last 4 years, Cao Lu revealed that their agency hasn't paid them yet, with the exception of last year. She revealed that due to her stints in variety shows such as "We Got Married," she was finally paid but it wasn't substantial enough to send money back home to her parents, Allkpop reported. The idol admitted that this was a subject matter that their agency preferred them not to talk about.

However, Cao Lu also shared an uplifting story of her filial obligation to her parents. At the age of 17, she was already able to buy them an apartment in Beijing after winning the rookie award from CCTV. She initially thought of buying a new car but her mother advised her to buy an apartment instead. It turned out to be a great investment over time as Cao Lu explained that at the time she bought the apartment, it was relatively inexpensive but the price has now risen five times over, according to Soompi. Her family use the apartment during summer time.

Cao Lu also opened up about her wish for the Chinese New Year. It looks like she will be the next idol to open up a restaurant when she explained that she wanted to open up a dumpling restaurant since stability from idol life isn't guaranteed. She has already asked for the ideal location from Chef Lee Yeon Beok, who recommend her the building of former baseball player Seo Jang Hoon.

Cao Lu's name became famous after she rose to prominence thanks to her quick wit on variety shows. This year, it looks like she is set to continue with her claim to fame with her honest revelations on variety shows, which matches her bright and candid personality.
