‘Hwarang’ cast possesses enchanting chemistry in behind-the-scene photos

Nearing its end, the KBS drama released a behind-the-scene photos from its first episode up-to its recent episode. The drama started airing its first episode on Dec. 19.

In the photos, it can be seen that lead actress Go Ara is posing her lively and refreshing charm as she portrays her great chemistry with Park Seo Joon, Park Hyung Sik, and even the sunny Kim Taehyung (BTS' V). Whether she is making fun with her colleagues on set or just flashing her endearing peace sign at the camera, Go Ara is clearly the "vitamin" on set.

The set of photos shows SHINee's Minho and Do Ji Han lying side by side while fanning their self with a small electric fan. In other photos that is yet to be released, Kim could be seen smiling vibrantly as Minho and Jo Yoon Woon looks at him with pleased smiles.

One source reveald, "The teamwork of the 'Hwarang' cast was strong and amicable beyond expectation. With actors all around the same age, the smiles and laughter never stopped," Soompi reported.

It was also revealed that the actors' closeness made the drama's close relationship possible. Adding that the casts' strong teamwork will shine out even more in the future.

Earlier, reports surfaced that the historical drama is gearing up to hit the musical stage. Following the news, Asia Bridge Contents confirmed that the company together with Oh Boy Project already have plans in producing a musical spin off of "Hwarang," KpopHerald reported.

However, details with regards to the musical's cast and tentative release date are still unknown. The drama series revolves around the group of elite young men called Hwarang often referred to as "flowering knights," from the Silla Kingdom.

Since the drama's premiere, it clocked in an 11.1 percent viewership rating, which is the highest rating the drama ever reached yet during its episode 3. Meanwhile, in its episode 9, the drama garnered its lowest viewership rating with 6.2 percent.
