Dara and G-Dragon were recently mired in dating scandal after the latter was spotted being overly protective of the former at BIGBANG's concert in Seoul.

Videos of the two at the event immediately surfaced on the internet, causing uproar from the netizens who speculated the idols are seeing each other. Others even claimed the BIGBANG member appeared to have kissed Dara in the controversial video.

According to Koreaboo, fans initially failed to recognize the girl in the video because of her cover-ups; however, photos of Dara at the BIGBANG concert confirmed she was the one who was with G-Dragon in the viral video.

Amid dating rumors involving the two YG artists, the label at once released a statement, denying claims on the viral video of Dara and G-Dragon. YG Entertainment said the idols were not serious about the matter when they did it.

"G-Dragon suggested to Sandara Park that they have their photos taken in that pose as a joke, and so they were. It was a joke that turned into a dating rumor," the agency said in a dispatch.

The statement was later supported by the 2NE1 member who addressed the dating rumor during her appearance in "As You Say." According to Allkpop, Dara said she did not expect they would become an item because of the act.

"After the end of BIGBANG's concert, we were heading to the after-party and we walked out like that because there were so many fans but I didn't think they would create headlines that way," the idol said.

She revealed YG Entertainment laughed at the dating rumor, joking that G-Dragon was merely giving her a headlock in the viral video. "I don't do workplace romance," Dara emphasized in the interview.
