New Orleans is on a three-game losing streak after winning their four previous games. The team is now 11th in the Western Conference standings, one-and-a-half games behind eighth-place squad Portland Trail Blazers.

The Pelicans are coming off a 117-108 loss to the Boston Celtics last Saturday on the road at the TD Garden to open a five-game road trip, as per SB Nation.

Head coach Alvin Gentry's squad wasted another MVP-ish game by Anthony Davis, who had 36 points, 15 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks, as they fell to the much-deeper Celtics. Point guard Jrue Holiday was the only other starter in double figures for the Pels with 13 points. He also had two boards, five dimes, two steals, and one shot block.

Langston Galloway led the bench with 20 points and four rebounds while newly-acquired Donatas Motiejunas netted 11 points, grabbed five boards, and dished out four assists in only 20 minutes of play.

Meanwhile, the Knicks have lost seven of their last eight games to drop from a 16-13 slate to 17-20 and 11th in the Eastern Conference standings, also one-and-a-half games behind eighth-place team Washington Wizards.

In their most recent match, New York was routed by the Indiana Pacers, 123-109, on the road at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse also on Saturday night, the New York Times reported.

Carmelo Anthony led head coach Jeff Hornacek's side with 17 points on 6-for-14 field goal shooting. He also had two rebounds and five assists.

Kristaps Porzingis played in his second game after returning from injury and ended with 16 points, four boards, three assists, and four blocked shots. He shot poorly as well, going 5-for-11 from the field. Derrick Rose contributed 14 points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Two bench players scored in double figures, namely Brandon Jennings and Mindaugas Kuzminskas who had 17 and 13 points respectively.

Prediction

The Pelicans are not a good road team with a 4-13 record so far this season while the Knicks are decent at home with an 11-7 slate. New York is predicted to win a close game.
