A new year means a new hope for those who wanted to lose weight. Fortunately, science in 2017 could bring anyone in great shape - as long as they put on an effort and dedication to look and feel great this year.

It's All About the Calories

Decrease in calorie intake is very important for anyone who wants to lose weight. According to Live Science, those who want to lose weight should target getting rid 250 to 1000 calories a day. Take advantage of mobile applications, websites and labels to determine the amount of calorie for every meal.

Generally a balanced diet for men should contain only 2,500 calories a day. For the women, the figure is a little bit lower with a required calorie diet of 2,000 a day. It may sound a lot but there are meals that can get up to 1,000 calories so it's best to look for food that offer low-calorie options.

The Importance of Sleep

Here's another very important secret for losing weight: sleep. Yes, it doesn't involve any exercise or diet but a body that doesn't have enough sleep will tend to look for ways to reward itself in other ways according to Web MD. Unfortunately, one of the reward systems the body aims for when it lacks rest is through food.

Good Old Fashion Exercise

It could be playing a ball game, working out or just going out for a walk or a jog, getting in shape will always require some sort of physical activity. Help your body lose additional calories through exercises. A gym membership also helps because a trainer could offer some customized exercise routine not only to lose weight but also for toning specific muscles in the body.

Lowered calorie intake, a good sleep and regular exercise could get anyone in good shape in 2017. It's just a matter of dedication to get rid of the extra fat to look good and feel even better.
