Korean girl group IOI made its debut in May 2016. The band is composed of eleven members coming from different entertainment companies. But despite their almost perfect images, an IOI member shared about her emotional past during an episode of "As You Say."

IOI's Kim Se Jung revealed she came from a poor family, stating that her mother was the only one who raised her and her older brother. Kim added she experienced living with her grandfather and aunt because they did not have a place on their own, Allkpop reported.

Kim shared she has learned to hide her feelings because of her experiences in the past. However, that changed when the IOI member was confronted with a question that made her ponder.

"My vocal trainer asked me, "Have you ever loved so much that you were sorry without restraint?"" Kim said. She added there was a time when she thought of her mother's struggles and later found herself crying.

"Finally I accepted my emotions.  I wish that everybody would find a way to honestly accept their feelings," Kim narrated. She added she is aware that IOI will soon have to separate, but instead of suppressing her emotions, Kim revealed she often burst into tears with just the thought of it.

Before Kim joined IOI, she was commended for her talent and kindness on "Produce 101," Soompi reported. She even topped the overall rankings in certain episodes of the talent show.

Aside from that, Kim also won the hearts of the viewers for her soothing voice and talent in dancing. She was also praised for leading her group in the show, teaching them the choreography of their performance.

Meanwhile, YMC Entertainment announced IOI will be disbanding in January 2017. But before their separation, the girl group will hold their final concert called "Time Slip - IOI" from Jan. 20 to 22.

The series of concert will take place in Jangchung Gymnasium, where IOI staged their debut showcase in May.
