Mixed martial arts fighter and actress Ronda Rousey is slated to appear in numerous films, including "Mile 22" with Mark Wahlberg and "Do Nothing Bitches" with Tina Fey.

"Mile 22" was retooled to focus on Wahlberg's character, a CIA agent stationed in Indonesia. Indonesian actor and martial artist Iko Uwais co-stars the film.

The other movie is a comedy that will be produced by Fey. The title was inspired by a viral video in which Rousey, responding to criticisms that her body was quite masculine, mentioned that every single muscle in her body is used for a purpose.

The actress stated that she was raised to not be a "do-nothing bitch" and is certainly not the type of woman who just tries to be pretty and relies on someone else.

The film title and female empowerment role may resonate with modern-day women in Asia and other parts of the world.

"Sisters" scriptwriter Paula Pell pitched the comedy and Universal bought it, The Hollywood Reporter reported.  The movie's take on pampered wives who encounter a non-nonsense instructor, played by Rousey, may strike most people as familiar, but the film material is still a work in progress.

To date, Rousey's film career continues to flourish. Her movies have so far had her portraying tough female characters.

The go-getting American judoka played guest roles in the movies "The Expendables 3," Fast & Furious 7," and "Entourage." Also in the pipeline is her biopic. Rousey was also tapped to play the lead in the remake of "Road House" and will host SNL this January.

Even after turning over her UFC title to Holly Holm, Rousey's legions of fans continued to root for her.  Her Instagram post to "dream big, fail big" and "dream even bigger" had garnered over 200,000 likes.

Indeed, amidst a long recovery process before her highly-anticipated return to the Octagon, Rousey continues to make headlines.

In a recent interview with ESPN, Rousey expressed that she is raring to fight again, and knows fully well that she will be remembered to a large extent on what she does next.

The outspoken star who had stated in social media to block out fear/defeat and get things done seems keen on maintaining her international appeal, as far as being a UFC fighter and an actress is concerned.

This far, she has conquered the Asian market, including China and the Philippines.
