After YG Entertainment announced about his hiatus last month, Nam Tae Hyun has somehow spoken up about his desire to pursue his career.
Allkpop reported the WINNER member took to his Instagram account to post a photo that bears the message, "I JUST WANT TO SING" and captioned the post, "Yes." However, Nam immediately took down the message for some unknown reasons, causing his fans to worry about their idol's current condition.
On Oct. 12, YG Entertainment announced Nam will be halting his promotional activities due to mental health issues, Soompi cited. The label admitted they know about his condition since the WINNER member was still a trainee.
However, YG Entertainment added Nam's condition reportedly worsen, forcing them to stop his activities to get treatment. Aside from that, WINNER's comeback was also delayed following the announcement.
"After discerning that it would be difficult for him to continue promoting, we have decided that his future activities will be suspended in order for him to focus on treatment. This has been done because the most important priority is his health," the agency announced.
YG Entertainment added Nam is currently living with his mother and is currently receiving treatments for his mental health issue. "We currently cannot predict WINNER's timeframe for their promotions, which is regrettable."
"However, the other WINNER members, along with YG, are putting in their best effort to overcome the first crisis that has hit the team," the label added.
Meanwhile, fans are speculating there are other reasons for Nam's hiatus in the industry. Others are claiming Nam has been distant with his co-members, stating that the idol is not close with other WINNER members.
