Nam Joo Hyuk clears relationship with ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo’ co-star Lee Sung Kyung

Three weeks ago, Lee Sung Kyung took to her Instagram account to share a photo of her and "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" co-star Nam Joo Hyuk, who are seemingly having an intimate time in the swimming pool.

The photo raised the curiosity of the fans, who are eager to know whether the two are seeing each other in real life. To address the matter, Nam has finally spoken up to share the story behind his photo with the "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" actress.

"That [pose] was because the water was too cold and we had to survive," the actor said as per Soompi, adding that Lee is like a sister who looks after him. Aside from that, Nam also commended the actress for her great personality.

Nam and Lee are working together in the upcoming "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo." The actor will take the role of Jung Joon Hyun, who is a gold medalist in swimming, while the actress plays the role of Kim Bok Joo, who is an athlete for weightlifting.

Previously, Nam talked about working together with Lee for "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo." The 22-year-old actor said his previous collaboration with the actress made him feel comfortable while working for the upcoming drama series, Allkpop cited.

"I wasn't Lee Sung Kyung noona's partner, but we did appear on the same production before, so I was comfortable while we worked on set. And thanks to that, I'm also able to communicate with the director well and enjoy a fun, bright, filming environment," he said.

Prior to "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," Nam and Lee have worked together for "Cheese In The Tap" and several promotional photoshoots.
