Red Velvet members Seulgi and Yeri were reportedly involved in a minor car crash on their way home on Monday.

Soompi reported that both members were bruised after the taxi they were riding recklessly hit a truck. However, a source affiliated with SM Entertainment assured nothing serious happened to Red Velvet's Seulgi and Yeri.

"While Red Velvet's Seulgi and Yeri were heading back to the dorm in a taxi after their break around 10 pm, they suffered bruising and minor injuries from a car accident in which the taxi driver hit a garbage truck due to carelessness," the source said.

The source went on, "They went to a hospital immediately, received treatment, and are now resting at their dorm. They will rest from activities and will focus on recovering at the moment."

Meanwhile, Red Velvet recently ranked as the number one girl group with highest brand value in October, Allkpop reported. The five-member band surpassed BLACKPINK who fell short at second place and TWICE at third spot.

Red Velvet's newest single "Russian Roulette" has remained a non-mover in Soompi's music chart for three consecutive weeks. The bubbly and colorful music was released by the girl group last on Sept. 7.

The cheeky "Russian Roulette" MV surpassed the three million mark on YouTube within a day. The newest single gave Red Velvet their first-ever music show win on "The Show" last Sept. 13.

"Russian Roulette" is under Red Velvet's third EP of the same title, which contains a total of seven tracks. Reports suggest that Red Velvet members will now focus in their solo activities after the release of their newest EP.
