South Korea-based singer Ailee openly shared how she and one of her former lover remained as friends in her recent guesting in SBS Power FM’s ”Choi Hwa Jung's Power Time”.

"After I broke up with a boyfriend, we agreed that we should stay friends. I don't think we loved each other,” the 27-year-old star revealed as quoted by All KPop.

She added: “After we broke up, I didn't think anything of him. I just saw him as a friend."

Program host Choi Hwa Jung expressed his amusement after Ailee’s revelation. In fact, he even regarded the artist as a “cool” person.

As their conversation goes on, Ailee’s fellow guest Eddy Kim also talked about how he broke up with his ex-girlfriend before his military enlistment. According to the singer as quoted by Soompi: “When I was in the United States, I separated from my girlfriend when I joined the [Korean] military. I was required to go to the army. I was sorry but I told her I had to go and left.”

Meanwhile, Ailee has recently released the music video for her new single titled “Reminiscing”. The song, as explained by the singer, talks about “expressing a sudden longing for something after forgetting it for a long time”.

Born as Amy Lee, Ailee began her career in the South Korean entertainment industry after her impressing performance on MBC's Chuseok special episode of “Singer and Trainee” wherein she won the first-place award. A year after her appearance in the program, she released her debut single titled “Heaven” featuring Beast’s member Gi Kwang. She also appeared in the sequel of the popular TV drama series “Dream High” alongside Kang So Ra, 2AM's Jinwoon, T-ara's Jiyeon, SISTAR's Hyolyn, Park Seo Joon and GOT7 members JB and Jinyoung.
