"Star Wars" star Hayden Christensen joins "The Expendables 2" Bruce Willis in the latest crime thriller "First Kill."

In the "First Kill" movie, Christensen will play the father of a young boy held hostage by a bank robber, as Entertainment Weekly reported. The young boy had accidentally witnessed a thug shooting a fellow thief while on a hunting trip. Willis will play the local police chief who suspects Christensen's character had something to do with the initial heist. He is reportedly seen filming at an Aladdin restaurant in Granville on Tuesday evening.

"First Kill" revolves around the story of the police chief who tries to solve a case that involves a bank robber holding a young boy hostage. The father races against a ticking clock to rescue his own son. At the same time, the police chief starts wondering whether or not the father played a role in the bank heist.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "First Kill" will be the first project in Christensen's two-picture deal with Emmett/Furla/Oasis. He previously starred in the faith-based drama "90 Minutes in Heaven" last year for the production company. The film was released by an American film production company Samuel Goldwyn Productions. It grossed $4.7 million in limited release.

Nick Gordon wrote the script of "First Kill." Emmett/Furla/Oasis is set to produce, finance, and distribution through its deal with Lionsgate Premiere. Randall Emmett and George Furla of Emmett/Furla/Oasis are the producers. Trevor Matthews of Brookstreet Pictures, Barry Brooker and Stan Wertlieb are the executive producers.

Christensen is repped by Paradigm and Luber Roklin. He made appearances on "Jumper" (2008), "New York, I Love You" (2009), "Takers" (2010), "American Heist" (2014), and "Inner Circle" (2015). Willis recently appeared in Red 2, earning $304 million.
