iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices are expected to be launched with insufficient stocks if Apple will pursue with its annual late summer production ramp-up ahead of iPhone 7's Sept. reveal. The company is reportedly experiencing issues with faulty components, which may cause a shortage in supplies at the beginning of its rollout.

Reports claim that Apple is going to launch its iPhone 7 line close to its launch schedule in 2015. However, this may cause a short in stocks during the first round of the launch as Yuanta Investment Consulting analyst Jeff Pu forecasted that iPhone production is reduced to 114 million from 120 million. This production includes both new and old models from the July to December period, The New Daily reported.

The issue on the shortage of iPhone 7 production is reportedly caused by the defects in the waterproof speaker and dual-camera module, which Apple reportedly has not yet resolved. Pu believes that the production of iPhone 7 is 10 million less than that of the iPhone 6s last year. This may in turn result to higher costs for manufacturers and subsequently less volume of devices delivered to consumers.

Pu said that they have estimated a total of 74 million iPhone 7 builds in 2H16F, a figure less than the 84 million builds of iPhone 6s in 2H15 from last year reportedly. It is important to note, however, that Apple is also facing pressure with pricing. So along with all the pressures that the company has to take, food chain suppliers may see a revenue decline for the rest of the year according to Pu, Complex reported.

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus launch is said to be scheduled either on Sept. 16 or Sept. 23. It is also rumoured that the devices will go live for pre-orders on Apple's website on Sept. 9. However, consumers need to wait for the actual launch before the devices get delivered to them. Watch iPhone 7 promo video here.
