iPad Air 3 is speculated to be released in March 2017. Reportedly, it is unlikely that the device will be launched this Fall as Apple just recently released its new 10-inch iPad Pro 9.7 tablet.

When it comes to the specs of iPad Air 3, rumor has it that the device will sport a harder aluminum material, which could lead to an even thinner design. The device is also speculated to carry the new True Tone equipped display panel of the iPad Pro 9.7. iPad Air 3 is also expected to carry either an Apple 9 or an A9X chipset, Tab Times reported.

Rumors claimed that the storage capacity of iPad Air 3 will start at 32GB. Speculations emerged that iPad Air 3 will also sport the stereo speaker setup which is similar to those found on both Pro tablets. With regard to its operating system, iOS 10 will be the software behind it all, reportedly.

Apple's price points for the iPad Air 3 has not been revealed yet but it is suggested that Apple may stick to a $599 starting price. However, since it is speculated that the device will be almost the same size as the full size iPad models for years, Apple may be reducing the price this time. This will be based on how much technology that Apple will be borrowing from the iPad Pro 9.7, PC Advisor reported.

iPad Air 3 might concede the usual price point if it will be true that the device will also come with iPad Pro 9.7's True Tone display panel. However, without the True Tone display panel, iPad Air 3's suspected reduced starting price may be set at around $499 to $549.

Meanwhile, Apple is said to be working on upgrades for its other devices. For instance, the larger iPad Pro is rumored to be working on a 10.5-inch iPad. Watch the Apple iPad Air 3 rumors and expectations here.
