Little has known about "Resident Evil 7" since its revelation at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016. But a post from a Twitter user to the ESRB site sheds some light to some of the information stating that the game is rated M which means for mature.

One characteristic of the forthcoming game is the uncertainty of how much battle that the game consists of. As stated in ESRB rating summary which is now deleted, for the gamers to get rid of the mutated creatures they have to utilize weapons such as "pistols, shotguns, flamethrowers, explosives, and chainsaws".

According to GameSpot, the summary also comments of gruesome scenarios such as mutilation by chainsaw and shovel, also with the shovel being pierced to the character's face. In addition, there are scenes where crippled zombies have their intestines hanging out. Moreover, the ears will be plagued with so much profanity.

Furthermore, the star in this game is Ethan and will be controlled by the player. He will be equipped with pistols, shotguns, flamethrowers, explosives and chainsaws to eliminate his enemies while in pursuit of his wife.

ESRB has verified that the original listing was correct as provided to Polygon.

"ESRB has removed Resident Evil 7 rating information from the ESRB website," it reads. "The rating is accurate and was posted as part of our regular process for announcing ratings after they have been assigned. Capcom requested the rating information be removed, and we're working with them to determine a new posting date."

"Resident Evil 7"'s demonstration was correlated to "P.T." which is "Silent Hills"' playable teaser which was canceled in the long run. Masachika Kawata, director of "Resident Evil 7" mentioned that he and his team is in the process of developing the horror game before "P.T." was revealed.

Kawata could not hide his disappointment when he learned of P.T.'s cancellation, saying that he loved "Silent Hill".

"Resident Evil 7" will start spreading horror and gloom for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 24. PS4 owners will have "The Beginning Hour" demo in their device as long as they are subscribed to PlayStation Plus.
