It was confirmed that Nina Dobrev is reprising her role as Elena in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Her return will once again reignite rumors and speculations about her past romance with co-star Ian Somerhalder that cause fans to think that his marriage with Nikki Reed will be on-the-rocks.

Almost all public circulations, papers and online, talks about the issue of Dobrev's comeback to the vampire shows will cause Reed- Somerhalder couple to split. Fans just can't wait to confirm if Damon and Elena will be reunited in the show.

"The Vampire Diaries Season 8" will kick off hot and steamy for Steroline fans. Stefan will be a bit busy trying to save his brother from under the manipulation of the vault villain.

Executive Producer Julie Plec confirmed the ending of the series next season and revealed Dobrev's return to the show during the Comic-Con event, according to their agreement. However, both did not confirm Dobrev's participation in "The Vampire Diaries Season 8".

According to Headlines & Global News, Plec's plans were supported by the CW president Mark Pedowitz. The truth is, he also revealed that Dobrev and the network are under negotiation.

Dobrev's return to the show will rekindle rumors about the divorce issue. She will only be appearing on one episode and will do a cameo role just in closing the subject of her character. Her fans, however, would like to see her reunited with love Damon, portrayed by Somerhalder. These hopes and guesses are already circulating for months now bringing again the issue of divorce between couple Reed and Somerhalder, iTechPost reported.

Somerhalder on the other hand no longer wishes to work with her ex-girlfriend saying that the storyline does not need any more reunion. He further added that the story should focus on the siblings' relationship, that is, between Damon and Stefan.

Despite rumors, Reed and Somerhalder marriage keeps getting stronger with no place for divorce. "The Vampire Diaries" Season will air on Oct. 21, 2018.
