"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 is going to be a different run for the medical drama, as original characters - Meredith, Alex, Bailey and Richard - and their own storylines will be the focus in the new run of episodes. The latest development has been revealed by series star Kelly McCreary in a recent report.
It is going to be another interesting season ahead on "Grey's Anatomy." After Derek's death and Cristina's departure, Season 13 of the medical drama has been plotted to focus heavily on the show's central characters. In a report from TV Guide, McCreary previewed that fans will spend more time with the aforementioned characters when the series returns this fall.
"After such a long period of time and so many new people coming in and out, they remain the foundational characters of the show," the actress told the publication.
"The way that we spent time with Meredith last season, exploring the major shift in her life, the loss of Derek, I think we can expect to see those doctors being explored where they are in this moment, all these years later, the changes that they've gone through."
Meanwhile, the cast and crew of "Grey's Anatomy" have already kicked off production for Season 13. Multiple behind-the-scenes photos emerge in social media where the actors are seen in their Grey Sloan Memorial scrubs to whet the fans' appetite for the new season. Earlier this month, director/actress Debbie Allen has shared on Twitter that the title of the season opener is "Undo."
