Season 1 of "One Punch Man" had its initial run in Japan last year, and the English-dubbed version that began airing in Toonami in July is now on its fourth episode, titled "The Modern Ninja." Fans are now asking when Season 2 will be aired and what it will bring.
Those who already watched the 12th episode of Season 1 will recall that Saitama fought against Boros. The latter lost an arm but it was revealed that he has self-healing powers due to his species' regenerative abilities. Because the battle was so fierce, the two were ultimately forced to use their best moves. Saitama, in the end, came out victorious.
Even though Boros admitted in that episode that he does not come close to the protagonist, rumor has it that he will return in Season 2 to fight Saitama again. If this is so, then it could mean that Boros levels up in terms of fighting abilities; thus, a more intense battle might be coming.
Meanwhile, according to iTechPost, Saitama may be facing Garou because of the bitterness that he is harboring, as well as Amai Mask, who is said to be going to the dark side as he tries to stop those who do evil. The report also mentioned about a possible love interest for the protagonist, but that is only speculation at the moment.
All that is known is, city A was destroyed and Amai Mask believed that it was the fault of the S-class heroes, something that almost sparked a fight. Metal Knight, who Drive Knight said was the enemy, rebuilt the hero HQ from parts salvaged from the ship, and all heroes A-class and above were welcomed to stay there if they wished.
Saitama, meanwhile, began to think that his life is back to normal, i.e., "one-punch," as the post-credit scene showed him giving Pluton, the king of the underworld, one punch that destroyed him.
"One Punch Man" Season 2 will reportedly be aired starting in October, said an earlier report in Asia Stars News.
