"Suicide Squad" has already been released in the United States with high hopes that it will generate high revenues. Producers and filmmakers cross their fingers hoping that the movie will also be shown in China.

Movies that are shown abroad definitely help boost earnings of the Hollywood movies. However, "Suicide Squad" might not get that advantage since there are reports that it will not be shown in China. Due to the level of violence in the movie, it would be difficult to get an approval for its release.

But still, it's early to tell if the domestic release will sustain the movie's position and earnings."Suicide Squad" still has no definite date of release in China because it needs to get approval first from the China Film Group. The said group is the state's distributor that manages the import of films from other countries to be shown in the state. It hasn't included the gritty movie in its calendar for internal release which is generally slated not less than two months in the development process, the Hollywood Reporter reported.

"They think this is not a good film to release in China," a Chinese executive said without elaborating.

Since China does not rate movies, it is the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television that decides whether the imported film should be released in the state or not. It's the government body that makes discernment on all imported films. SAPPRFT approves or bans these films if they are suitable or not for general viewing.

The Chinese movie regulator is very keen on the story and scenes behind the movie. The country's authorized censorship rule said that it does not allow procreation of forbearing or adverse perception of life, how the world is viewed and the value system.

According to io9, the film has already surpassed August records since its premiere on Thursday night. It was also reported that its earnings have become twice that of "Guardians of the Galaxy's" $20.1 million. "Suicide Squad" beats other extreme superhero movie premieres this year such as Captain America: Civil War and Deadpool.

"Suicide Squad" is a story wherein a secret agency ordered the release of villains who could spare the world from grievous imminence.  David Ayer directed the film with casts like Will Smith, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Jared Leto, and Margot Robbie. The production spent nearly $175 million for the savage and rough movie.

As of the moment, Warner Bros. did not comment on the issue.
