When "Lucifer" Season 2 kicks off, things will get interesting between Ella and Maze. Fans of the series have expressed their liking for the duo in social media, a development which can lead to a romantic storyline. Meanwhile, the FOX drama has plotted a major arc coming up for Rachael Harris' character, Dr. Linda.

Fans of "Lucifer" are urging the writers and producers of the show to plot a romantic storyline between Ella (Aimee Garcia) and Maze (Lesley Ann-Brandt) in Season 2. The petition of the fans started from a photo of Garcia and Brandt taken behind the scenes - which was shared on Twitter.

It seems that the chemistry between the duo is undeniable that even the actors are asking for the two characters to become romantically involved in "Lucifer" Season 2. Showrunner Joe Henderson, for his part, responded to their request - sharing that they have already developed a story for the two of them.

While Henderson did not confirm anything, it seems that shipping Ella and Maze as a couple on "Lucifer" Season 2 is quite possible. It is only a matter of time before we learn what the writers have planned for Garcia and Brandt's characters.

In other developments, "Lucifer" Season 2 will feature a major storyline for Lucifer's therapist, Dr. Linda Martin, while fans demand that Maze and a new character named Ella should become a couple in the upcoming season.

The therapy sessions between Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Dr. Martin (Rachael Harris) will evolve into something unexpected on "Lucifer" Season 2, Entertainment Weekly has learned.

"Lucifer is still always choosy about what he says to Dr. Martin, but there are times where she really hits a nerve and stuff comes out that's quite a discovery for both of them actually," a source told the publication.

"We've got some big stuff coming up with Dr. Linda around episode 6 or 7; there's some quite big storylines happening."

"Lucifer" Season 2 premieres on Monday, Sept. 19 at 9PM on FOX.
