One of the longest running TV Series “Hell on Wheels” is unlikely to have a spin-off due to the decline of viewers in the past weeks.

The issue on the cancellation of “Hell on Wheels” did not come as a surprise anymore since it has been hinted as early as the renewal of its Season 5. Nevertheless, TV Series Finale has commented that the number of viewers of the show greatly influenced the decision to axe the “Hell on Wheels.” So loyal fans can only clamor for a spin-off episode, hoping that it would have the same success as that of “Fear the Walking Dead.”

Aside from the issue on viewership, the doubt about it having a spin-off was worsened by the rumor that AMC is currently doing another show titled “The American West,” which revolves around the outlaws and lawmen who have been part of making the American history. The title and other details of the show had already been announced by the company president himself, Stephen David.

However, this issue seems to contradict the report on the total viewers it had during its last episode. According to Live+3 ratings, “Hell on Wheels” finale series got almost 2.5 million viewers composed of both adults and kids.

“Hell on Wheels” may have already been concluded, but for those uninitiated, the series is about the story set in 1860’s when the America’s Transcontinental Railroad is under construction. This show portrays the greed, fraud, and anomalies that came with it. “Hell on Wheels” was produced by some of the greatest minds in the TV productions such as Wirth, Paul Kurta, Michael Rosenberg, Chad Oakes of Nomadic Pictures and many more.

Now that “Hell on Wheels” has come to its end marked by its last episode titled “Done,” what comes after for the lead of the show? John Wirth, considered to be the central figure of the series, is casted as a lead character in another Sundance TV’s “Hap and Leonard,” which is now on its second season.

“Hell on Wheels” may have rolled out its last season but fans are still waiting for more updates.
