The second installment of "Guardians of the Galaxy" will be out soon and filmmaker James Gunn wanted to excite his fans even more. A behind the scene teaser image has been circling the internet showing off the director and his crew.
Comic Book reveals a behind the scene image of James Gunn giving orders to Chris Pratt a.k.a Star-Lord, the shows' lead actor. The director intended to leak the image as teaser to remind fans that the show will be coming out soon. Lars P. Winther, the shows' first assistant director, was also in the picture looking rather uncomfortable.
Gunn previously mentioned in a synopsis via Collider that "Guardians of the Galaxy" will continue the teams' adventure as they unravel the mystery behind the real parentage of Peter Quill. What strikes the fans curiosity is when he mentioned that old foes will soon become allies and known characters from the marvel cinematic universe will be coming to help the team.
According to NME, Gunn mentioned that Nebula played by Karen Gillan, will have a huge role in the second volume. Gunn's statement, following the news regarding Gillan's major role, gave rise to speculations that perhaps Nebula will be coming to aid the guardians. He also confirmed that Thanos will not be returning as the prime villain but it doesn't mean that the heroes will not be threatened by a new adversary.
In terms of the nature of the movie, Gunn described the second volume to take on a more sci-fi route. Compared to the first volume which was more space-oriented, fans will be expecting to see that the second volume would have a greater semblance to a science-fiction movie.
Star Lord and his team will return in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" on April 2017.
