Lionsgate recruited Oscar-nominated "Breaking Bad" actor Bryan Cranston to take on the role of Zordon in the upcoming reboot of "Power Rangers." The actor reveals that he will be completely different from the TV series.

During an interview with Huffington Post, Cranston said that he was initially reluctant to take on the role. He recalled how he used to perform voice work for the TV series and admitted that it seemed ridiculous to imagine himself being part of the live-action show. However, his decision changed when he was able to read the script and discuss the storyline with the producers.

Cranston said that "Power Rangers" film was unrecognizable to the TV series. The elements and the myth was there, but the new version just altered the film making completely. He described the new story arc to be dark, similar to Batman's "Dark Knight." He added that despite its dark elements, it was appropriate enough to embrace the theme of teenagers dealing with typical issues.

Aside from the change in the story arc, the Rangers have a change in costume as well. The creators slammed the old body-hugging outfits and only retained the general aesthetics. They modeled each Ranger suit with their respective prehistoric animal through the shape of their visors and helmets. The female Rangers now have boob armor plates.

The new costumes are posted in the Power Rangers Movie official Instagram account:
