The alleged text message conversation between the wife of Hong Sang-soo and Kim Min-hee's mother is fake, according to Mrs. Hong.
Days after the revelation of Kim Min-hee's affair with director Hong Sang-oo, Woman Sense magazine released a series of text messages allegedly exchanged between Hong's wife and Kim Min Hee's mother. However, Mrs. Hong has declared that the messages were fake.
In the now viral text exchange, Mrs. Hong was hostile to Kim's mother telling her to control her daughter's behavior. She describes Kim as an adulteress who ruined her family. Screenshots of the alleged conversation show that Kim's mother defended her by telling Mrs. Hong that she raised her daughter well.
According to Dispatch magazine, Mrs. Hong agreed to have an off the record interview and agreed to share her feelings regarding her husband's affair with the agreement that the magazine would not release their conversation to the public.
Hong's wife denied that she ever showed a text conversation between her and Kim's mother to the publication. She did, however, mention that she talked with the actress's mother. She said it was disappointing for her that the magazine used the interview to spread fake information, and make the issue worse.
Hong's wife also revealed that she plans to file a complaint against Woman Sense because she claims to have told the publication to correct their untrue statements about her and they refused. However, the publication has taken down the fake text messages. The publication is also allegedly avoiding calls from Mrs. Hong and her representatives, so she plans to file a dispute with the Press Arbitration Commission.
In other news, Kim Min-hee is apparently losing fans due to her relationship with Hong. Kim's fans are allegedly sympathizing with Mrs. Hong because of the rumors that the director has stopped providing his daughter's college tuition to support Kim Min-hee. Meanwhile, Kim is said to have not been offered any new roles due to her damaged reputation.
