The latest Victoria's Secret Fahion Show included great names in the world of the fashion industry. Names like supermodel mainstays Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio with first-timers Gigi Hadid and Kendell Jenner gave the show a bombastic personality. However, the show also featured Asian beauties from the likes of Sui He and Ming Xi.

The VS casting has provided a great opportunity for young and new talents as well as for those who are regular mainstays. Sui He is a veteran model of the VS fashion show as she became the second Chinese model that walked the show.  She started and became an Angel in 2011, which marked her 5th year with the lingerie brand. Ming Xi is also a mainstay with the fashion show and has been with the VS fashion show since 2013.

Director John David Pfeiffer talked about the casting procedure with Vogue and how each of the model's personality played an important role in the decision making.  "The casting process occurs over several days with my team." Pfeiffer said. "But on those last few days of casting, when we're in the room with Ed [Razek], Monica [Mitro], and Sophia [Neophitou] and other people from the brand, camera crews, film crews-that is the first real taste. You see who is going to make it through because you're seeing a hundred girls; truly, they are all gorgeous, and any one of them could be chosen from that standpoint."

However, the show still indicated that this year's event is about diversity as Angolan model Maria Borges walked the runway wearing her natural hair. The show has already been praised as the event opens its doors to racial minorities.

Although the two Chinese Angels have been part of the VS fashion show for many years, some are still not satisfied with the numbers presented at the event. The runway presented around 44 Angels but only 14 of them were women of color. Still, it is necessary to give credit to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show since even Business of Fashion acknowledges the significant increase in diversity the show gave compared to other runway shows.
