'Game of Thrones' Kit Harington Reveals Unusual Rituals Before Going on Stage

Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington has confessed he has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and performs unusual rituals before going on stage.

Known for his tough character Jon Snow in the ongoing series, Harrington told ITV's This Morning that he develops "weird superstitions before going on stage. I have to kiss certain things before going on stage - my parents' picture, a picture of my brother." This can get worse as he admitted to sometimes kissing the floor and the crucifix in his room.

These obsessions even upset his girlfriend Game of Thrones actress Rose Leslie as she is not one of the people he looks to for good luck in his weird ritual before going on stage. "My girlfriend was very upset when she came in and there wasn't a picture of her!" the 29-year-old actor said.

He also admitted that he eats Haribo sweets before going on stage to allegedly "help with the drool" for the play Doctor Faustus, which is showing in London.

Apparently, this is not something new to the actor. The HBO television star's former ritual included patting a seat in the front row and saying "Good luck, Tom!" When asked who Tom is, Harington admitted he does not know and just came up with the name.

Sometimes, he also seems like a "mad man" as he developed the tendency to "touch middle drains with his right foot" and "I have to cross over the street sometimes."

"I look like a mad man," he jokingly admitted.

When prompted by Philip Schofield to seek professional help, the British heartthrob said "I quite like it, I don't want to get rid of it."

Harington said he develops new habits for each of his projects but did not reveal what his rituals was for Game of Thrones.

Meanwhile, Harington's co-star Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos Seaworth in the series, has complimented the actor's skills on Game of Thrones' upcoming Battle of the Bastards episode.

According to Yibada, Cunningham said that the episode, which is one of the most expensive TV episodes ever made, is "going to be jaw-dropping" thanks to his "beautifully subtle" work.

Game of Thrones season 6 episode 9, Battle of the Bastards, will be aired June 19 on HBO.
