The 2016 Hito Music Awards was held on Sunday, June 5 at the Taipei Arena and stars such as Jay Chou and Show Luo graced the event.
Jay and Show both took home awards with Jay winning the Most Popular Global Chinese Singer Award and Show going home with the Most Popular Male Singer Award. When both singers were called on stage, they tried to outdo each other by showing off their hosting skills.
The two winners started throwing questions at each other. However, it was Jay who emerged as the winner as an embarrassed Show walked off the stage when Jay asked the question: "So, when are you going to be a dad?"
Show was obviously caught off guard, but he kept his cool, laughed and jokingly left the stage. When the awards ceremony wrapped up, Show revealed that he was simply taken aback by his fellow musician's question. "I did not expect him to ask such question. He wins this time," he said.
However, the media seemed to really want an answer to Jay's question and prodded him by again asking when he plans to be a father. And just like his reaction to Jay, he laughed and just ended the interview with, "Thank you everyone. Bye bye!"
Meanwhile, Jay, dubbed the Mandopop King, has announced the release of his 14th album, titled, Jay Chou's Bedtime Stories. Fans can get hold of his new album on June 24, pre-ordering starts from Thursday, June 8.
Jay revealed that his 4-month-old daughter, Hathaway Chou, was his inspiration and is a huge influence on his new album. According to him, he named it, Bedtime Stories, because he wants to tell stories through his music.
Not only does his new album include the track Past Life Lover, which is dedicated to her daughter with Hannah Quinlivan, but it also includes songs for his latest Hollywood movie, Now You See Me 2, such as Chu Shen Ru Hua, Gong Gong with a Headache and Extra Large Shoes.
