Actresses Lee Sung Kyung and Cho Hye Jung commented about having a bad relationship. The "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" stars were recently involved in an Instagram controversy.
The controversy surfaced after Lee and Cho's previous Instagram live came to the public's attention. It is said that the 26-year old model turned actress went live on Instagram after her co-star started her live feed.
The two were right beside each other during their live broadcasts. Netizens then quickly suspected that there is competition between Lee and Cho.
To give light to the situation, Lee issued a statement through her fan café saying that she has a good relationship with Cho and that they are friends. "[Jo Hye Jung and I] are like Bok Joo and Nan Hee in that we have many memories together and care for each other very much. Those who watched the drama will know but how could anyone not like someone as lovable as Nan Hee or want to hurt her feelings?" Soompi reported.
Lee also revealed that she had no intentions in intimidating Cho. She also said that she had already apologize to her co-star just in case she was offended.
Cho then responded to her, saying, "Unnie, I really like you. I was happy to work with you and I want to see you for a long time. I'll be more nice to you so let's long-run together," Allkpop reported.
Consequently, a representative from Cho's label Jellyfish Entertainment agreed with Lee's statement on her fan café. The representative said that there is no tension between the two stars.
However, despite their statements, some netizens continues to put tension between the two. One even commented, "Lee Sung Kyung was always the time who wanted to gain the attention ever since her modeling days... she also used to look down on Nam Joo Hyuk when he was a nobody."
