‘Shokugeki no Soma’ chapter 214 recap, spoilers; Soma’s winning technique revealed!By / 2017.05.13
The latest chapter of "Shokugeki no Soma" details the winning formula of Soma against Kinokuni. It also offers a preview of another match-up that could also mean another victory for the rebel student-chefs.
Chapter 214 Recap
Chapter 214 of the popular cooking manga series "Shokugeki no Soma" is now available in Manga Stream. The latest chapter starts with the judges declaring that the winner is the chef who has pushed forward their intended flavor. Kinokuni was shocked that she was asked to taste her dish where she immediately realized that something is off on her soba recipe.
With the aid of Isshiki, the central chef realized her problem with her soba: her dish was actually affected by the temperature of the stadium. Although the area is generally cold, the kitchen was boiling hot which ultimately affected her noodle. It's an amazing dish but has not lived up to her standards.
Soma on the other hand took take of the problem by cooking his soba in high heat. He later revealed that the soba flour he was about to work on is depleting in quality so he opted to lock-up the flavor. The chapter ended with Soma declared as the winner.
Central's Demise on Creativity
The Redditors' comments on the latest chapter of the manga series points to the exact reason why the rebel students will ultimately win the regimental shokugeki: the rebel chef students are too clever and creative compared to the central chefs who often follow the recipe and tradition to the heart. Soma's ability to think on his feet immediately gave him the upper hand even before the match has started.
Isshiki's involvement with Soma's cooking foreshadows what will happen in the next chapters. After Soma's win, the former elite-ten student chef will prove his worth against a central chef that could have a secret winning technique that could become his demise.
