Lee Dong Gun shocked the fans when he confirmed his romance with Jo Yoon Hee less than a month after his breakup with T-ara's Jiyeon in February. Now, the actor took everyone by surprise when he announced his marriage with his new girlfriend who is now carrying their first child.
According to Soompi, the "Seven Day Queen" actor personally updated his fans about his personal life. "Jo Yoon Hee and I, who met through a drama and became lovers, have registered our marriage and legally become husband and wife," he wrote.
The 36-year-old actor further said he and his partner were blessed with child in the midst of their preparation for the wedding which they plan to hold after his latest drama, "Seven Day Queen," wraps up.
"I am unsure about how this news will be received by my fans who have always supported me, but as much as I want to become a better actor and a happier person, it is my wish to receive blessings from all of you," Lee Dong Gun added.
The netizens, however, could not help but be flustered of how things happened so quickly for Lee Dong Gun and Joo Yoon Hee. Koreaboo cited the couple went public about their relationship 26 days after the actor broke up with Jiyeon.
The actor revealed he started seeing his "Laurel Tree Tailors" co-actor after they completed the filming for the drama. When asked what she likes most about Lee Dong Gun, the actress said it was his consideration that made her love him.
"I was really touched when he came to the dinner for my radio show. Even after that, he also came to my radio show with delicious things for the writers. At moments like those, I'm really moved," she opened up on "Video Star."
