IU has been breaking records here and there after releasing her fourth studio album entitled "Palette" on Friday, April 21.

The female singer even dominated the latest brand value ranking among singers in the midst of her promotions for her comeback album. IU surpassed BTS and TWICE which placed second and third, while rookie girl group BLACKPINK earned the fourth spot.

For her latest album, IU collaborated with some of the finest stars in the entertainment industry including G-Dragon and Kim Soo Hyun. The BIGBANG rapper was featured in her title track "Palette," while the "My Love from the Star" actor appeared in UI's "Ending Scene" MV.

Despite her ongoing success, IU admitted she still looks up to her co-artists for inspiration. When asked to choose her favorite girl group, Soompi cited the female singer named Oh My Girl as her bet at the moment.

"All the members are so pretty and unique in their own way," she said before she danced the girl group's "Coloring Book" hit song.

She also revealed the artist she wants to work with in the future. Among the pool of K-pop idols, IU looks forward to work side by side with BLACKPINK's Rosé if given the chance. "She is so cool and charming," she described the rookie idol.

Rosé and the rest of BLACKPINK have been gaining much attention as the first girl group introduced by YG Entertainment seven years after the debut of 2NE1. The member, who was raised in Australia, was previously featured in G-Dragon's "Without You" before the girl group formally debuted in August 2016.

In less than one year, BLACKPINK has surpassed 100 million YouTube views for the official music videos of "BOOMBAYAH," "WHISTLE" and "PLAYING WITH FIRE."

Currently, the rookie girl group is reportedly gearing up for their upcoming performances at university festivals starting May.
