Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino prepares the new 'Gundam Reconguista in G'

Gundam fans are excited to hear the news that the Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino has prepared a new project. "Gundam Reconguista in G" is to be included in the new project.

Mr. Tomino announced his new project in the Rome, Italy during the Romics Anime/Manga/Comic book convention, Crunchyroll reported. The event was held from for three days from April 6, 2017 and Tomino appeared as the guest of honor. Tomino was also awarded the Romics d'Oro at the annual convention.

"Gundam Reconguista in G" is the 26-episodes anime series aired in 2014 to 2015. The anime was directed by Tomino. The series also are known by its nickname "G-Reco" was the 13th installment of the Gundam franchise from Tomino in collaboration with Sunrise.

The previous series took place after 1,014 years after Correct Century in the new century known as Regild century. The story of "Gundam Reconguista in G" revolves around the Capital Guard and its members who protected the orbital elevator from the space pirates. The members of Capital Guard were equipped with an advanced mobile suit called the G-Self.

Tomino created its Gundam was in April 1979 as an anime TV series titled "Mobile Suit Gundam." This initiated the new genre of robot anime in the 1980's. Tomino later released a series of anime TV series, film and videos of "Gundam" for more than three decades.

The 75-year-old anime director has enjoyed a long success with his "Gundam." However, in the beginning of his career, he was reluctant to work in anime. In an interview with Forbes, Tomino explained that when he graduated from the university in 1964, that was a difficult time for him to adjust to the anime work. He graduated from College of Art at Nippon University and he thought that working at anime studio was childish.
