‘The Flash’ Season 3 finale spoilers: When will the show return? What happens in episode 19?

"The Flash" Season 3 episode 19 will roll out at the end of April. The CW series has taken a long hiatus before airing the highly anticipated finale titled "The Once and Future Flash." Fans can expect to see Barry take a memorable journey to the future in his attempt to save Iris. Here are a few spoilers for "The Flash" Season 3 episode 19. Read on to find out what happens next.

Following the events of "Abra Kadabra," Barry decides to travel in the future where he hopes to find answers to his questions. The network has released a synopsis for "The Flash" Season 3 episode 19 "The Once and Future Flash" and it suggests some incredible twists and turns.

According to the finale's description, as published on Spoiler TV, Barry takes a trip to the future to save the love of his life, Iris. In the future, he tries to find out Savitar's true identity which he hopes will help him save Iris.

It is the year 2024 and a lot has changed. It is the world after Iris' death. Here, Barry meets his friends from Team Flash and he is surprised to see how they have changed. He soon realizes that the change in them can be attributed to their ultimate showdown with Savitar. And now Barry Allen must do everything to save his friends and their dying hope. He must prove the hero he has always been to them.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, "The Flash" Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg talked about Barry's travel in Season 3 finale.

"This is definitely his most involved trip to the future or the past because he's there for a predominant part of the episode and tries to get some clues as to how this went down in the future so he can come back and stop it," Kreisberg said. "Barry starts to get some answers pretty soon. It's going to be a challenge to stop this guy. It's going to be a different kind of challenge than we've ever had."

Meanwhile, in the present day, Killer Frost in on the run and hunt for her continues.
