Justin Bieber's former flame, Selena Gomez recently opens up about her life as a child. The Weeknd's girlfriend reportedly admits that she had trouble with bullies.

According to a recent report from Us Weekly, Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez opens up about her struggles in life including the bullies from her teenage years. The "Spring Breakers" actress shares that she had her share of tough times.

Gomez will be playing the role of a student who takes her life after being relentlessly bullied at her school. The novel entitled, "Thirteen Reasons Why" is going to air on Netflix soon.

"I think he understood that I knew what it meant to be bullied," the "Love You Like A Love Song" hitmaker says. "I went to the biggest high school in the world, which is the Disney Channel. And my mom had a lot of history dealing with [bullying]. I heard her stories growing up. She was very open about it."

The "It Ain't Me" singer's mom, Mandy Teefey admits that she also had a difficult time while growing up just like her daughter. She says many people judges her because of being a teen mother.

"When I was growing up, I was always bullied because I was the outsider, the weird girl with the purple hair and combat boots," Teefey says. "Then I was a teen mom. You get really judged. I had counselors telling me how I would ruined my life, [Selena's] life and how I ruined the father's life, even though he participated."

Even though, Gomez has already established her name and has a successful career, she admits that she still faces negative people online and in the real life. The young star says bashers seem to want to "cut to your soul," as they say negative things that would only make a person more insecure.
Meanwhile, despite all of her hardships in life, she is now in a happy relationship with the Canadian singer, The Weeknd.

E! Online even unveils that Hung Vanggo joked around saying the "Starboy" singer shares something in common with Bieber, which is they both hail from Canada. Vanggo and Gomez were seen goofing around in the short clip when her hairstylist joked around. Gomez just laughed in the video as she stopped recording.

There is no doubt that Selena Gomez has been able to endure a lot of troubles in her life such as her lupus sickness, anxiety and even her breakup with Justin Bieber. She is reportedly happy in her life with new boyfriend, The Weeknd.
