During a press conference for tvN's "The Liar and His Lover," director Kim Jin Min declared Lee Seo Won as the next Park Bo Gum and Song Joong Ki in the industry.

Firstly, the director pointed out the three actors came from the same agency which is Blossom Entertainment. Then Kim Jin Min added Lee Seo Won and his seniors are also hosts of "Music Bank."

The 20-year-old rookie actor takes the role of Seo Chan Yeung in "The Liar and His Lover," where he will share the screen with Lee Hyun Woo, Red Velvet's Joy, and Lee Jung Jin.

Although he is musically gifted, Lee Seo Won's character will feel inferior against Lee Hyun Woo's role as Kang Han Kyul.

"You know the saying that the blind spot next to the spotlight is the darkest? I imagined my role, Seo Chan Yeung, would harbor dissatisfaction for all the attention directed to Han Kyul," the rookie actor said as per Kpopherald.

He added, "But then again, both Chan Yeung and Han Kyul are artistically and musically ahead of the ordinary people. So they still have something only the two of them understand and empathize with."

Aside from the rise of this young actor, fans can also expect great chemistry between Lee Hyun Woo and Joy, who personally assured that their onscreen rapport is "off the charts."

Soompi cited the Red Velvet member was initially shy around her leading man when they first met for the script reading of "The Liar and His Lover." Thanks to Lee Hyun Woo's consideration, Joy slowly learned to be comfortable around him on the set.

The actor, on the other hand, candidly dropped some cheesy answers when asked about his leading lady in the drama. "I could feel the trust in Joy's eyes when she looked at me while filming. Though I was nervous on set, I found myself getting lost in her eyes," Lee Hyun Woo said.

"The Liar and His Lover" will take over the time slot of "Introverted Boss" starting Mar. 20.
