Jim Caviezel returns to CBS; Starring in the new Navy SEAL drama

Jim Caviezel will return to CBS after "Person of Interest" series ended last year. The new drama will follow the Navy SEAL team in executing their mission.

Following the end of his five years science fiction series "Person of Interest" last year, Caviezel return to CBS. According to Hollywood Reporter, he has signed the contract with the network to star in the drama.

Caviezel is known to play the former CIA agent John Reese in the highly acclaimed series "Person of Interest" from 2011 to 2016. The series has spanned five seasons with total 103 episodes. The final episode was aired June 21, 2016.

Now the 48-year-old actor return to CBS to lead the cast in a new drama that tells the story of an elite unit of Navy SEAL team as reported by Deadline. The team is an elite unit that highly trained to conduct a dangerous mission. The drama follows the team in their training, planning and execution of the most dangerous and high stakes mission for the country.

Ben Cavell is in charge to write the story and also become the executive producer with Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly and Chris Chulack. For the pilot episode, Chulack is appointed as director.

Other cast members beside Caviezel are Max Thieriot, Neil Brown Jr., A.J. Buckley and Toni Trucks. Together they will join a bandwagon of the trending military dramas in television lately. Fox has "Behind Enemy Lines," NBC with "For God and Country" and CW with "Valor."

For Caviezel, return to CBS will be a delightful experience. It is because he will again became the leading cast for the drama. His wonderful performance in "Person of Interest" has made the CBS executive to consider him for this project.
