"Iron Fist" stars Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing) and Finn Jones has said that a famed comic book villain will appear in the show. Said character will be surrounded by secrecy in the first half of the season.

In an interview with Yahoo, both Henwick and Jones played coy when asked about the appearance of the Steel Serpent. However, the two stars left some statements that leave plenty of room for speculations.

"There are two characters who come into the second half of Iron Fist season one who hasn't been announced yet," Henwick said.

Jones lamented that they are not at liberty to reveal the character. Henwick echoed the same sentiment but teased that the characters they are referring to will be seen at the end of "Iron Fist."

"It's so frustrating because they knock it out of the park. But there's one in particular who fans are... it's a comic book character who's not been seen before and at the end of Iron Fist they set him up in a really interesting way... I think for me, that's the most interesting relationship on the show," Henwick added.

Both actors refused to give more details when they were pressed for more answers. Jones said that it will be announced very soon anyway and he will not be surprised if it will come before the series debuts on Netflix.

For the uninitiated, Steel Serpent also known as Davos was born in the mystical world of K'un-Lun. The character wants to exact revenge from Danny Rand after losing the powers of the Iron Fist. As for the other character that might make an appearance, rumor has it that Shang-Chi will be making his MCU debut as well, Screen Rant reported. The character will likely be set up as Rand's foe in Season 2 of the series.

"Iron Fist" is set to debut on March 17, 2017 in Netflix. Watch the official trailer of the series below:
