"Wayward Pines" season 3 might not be out of the woods when it comes to renewal. So, will the TV show be renewed?

According to TV Line, the second season of Wayward Pines did poorly when it came to its ratings and now the possibility of a renewal might be a bit clouded. This is still to be confirmed as no official word from Fox about their cancellation. Entertainment president for Fox, David Madden, says that there is still a good chance for a renewal. Although the ratings went down, the hopes for a third season is still very much alive.

Wayward Pines is based on the novel of the same name by Blake Crouch. It stars Matt Dillon as Ethan Burke, a US secret agent investigating disappearances in Wayward Pines in Idaho.

In another article, fans were surprised to find out that Wayward Pines was included in the list of shows that was going to be cancelled. There is still a lot of thinking over wherein the show's third season is still worth a shot.

According to Flickering Myth, the M. Night Shamalayan show might take a while to produce more episodes for viewers this year. Although Madden said that the show is not cancelled, it will not be on for the summer either. It was revealed by the entertainment president during the Television Critics Association winter press tour.
