"Shokugeki no Soma" continues its buildup towards the climactic regimental cooking match with the Central Division. Considering the latest events following Erina's decision, the team is fired up once again to fight for the Elite Ten position and their friends' future.
Chapter 205 Recap
Erina's declaration to relinquish her position as one of the Elite Ten was immediately featured in Chapter 205 of "Shokugeki no Soma" on Manga Stream. Because of her declaration, she was given a separate arrangement: if she lose, she will have to work for Central without question and obey her father at all cost.
After her declaration, she was appointed as the leader of the group although it required some arguments with Soma on who will have the first seat in case they win the regimental shokugeki. Her outburst against her father was noted by Senzaemon as she finally learned something from Soma and Saiba's relationship.
Doujima also recalled the time when Saiba abruptly left the school. He partially blamed himself since Saiba pushed himself too far and no longer cooks for fun. But many years later, Saiba called him out of the blue to inform him he's cooking again and Doujima realizes that Soma is the reason why Saiba is back at cooking.
The chapter ends with the set-up complete as everyone has completed their finals. The rebel group has practiced in the train carriage for some time and they finally converge in Rebun Island.
Coming End of the Manga?
Although it's set to be a very interesting match-up in Rebun Island, feedback in Reddit on the latest chapter focuses on the fact that the manga series may end soon. The stakes are big for Soma and the rest of the group and winning could mean they will lead Tootski in their second year. There are theories that it might go on a time-skip after the Rebun Island arc but it is also possible that Soma and gang will have bigger challenges in the future in case they win the regimental shokugeki.
