Super Junior member Kyuhyun has finally spoken up to defend his staff after fans accused them of job negligence during the recent Taiwan hotel fire incident through his Twitter page.

Kyuhyun claimed that he chose to stay in his hotel room after the management declared that the fire has been already under control. In fact, he even took the blame for not taking the occurrence seriously.

"I think there's a misunderstanding with the Taiwan fire.. To keep things short, I was in my room with my manager and staff to prepare the comments for my performance, and missed the timing to evacuate. We heard that the fire had been controlled, so I chose to stay in the room over going down the stairs and breathing in the smoke that way," the 29-year-old star wrote as quoted by All KPop.

He further stated: "Except the staff in my room, all the other staff evacuated following the hotel's instructions and waited outside for 3 hours.. I think I was the one at fault because I just figured there wasn't that big of a problem and kept staying in the hotel to work with the other staff. I don't want there to be problems after a good performance... Please have a good night!".

On Feb. 26, fans voiced out their rage towards Kyuhyun’s staff after reports claimed that they have left the star in his room and to save themselves during the fire. The tension further rose up after the crews posted a photo in a coffee shop with the captions “#SleepingAtStarbucks” and “#MeetingOfFireVictims,” All KPop reported.

Meanwhile, Kyuhyun is set to have a concert titled “An Author's Tale [Epilogue]” at the Blue Square Samsung Card Hall on April 1 to 2. The selling of the tickets will begin on February 28.
