Mnet's "Shin Yang Nam Show" has taken us back in time after revealing Jimin's pre-debut snippets. On Thursday, the BTS members were asked to find a co-member in an old photo.
Koreaboo cited Jimin became hysterical after seeing the photo, raising speculations among his BTS co-members. After they have figured out that Jimin was the one in the photo, the other members started to look for the idol in the group shot.
However, Jimin might have changed a lot over the years as his co-members failed to recognize him in the picture. The idol then dropped the bomb and said he was the one standing at the back.
Surprised by Jimin's revelation, the BTS members took a closer look and spotted the co-member in his red suit and black one-sided hair. Not only that, the variety program even played Jimin's performance of a contemporary dance where the idol was wearing nothing but a pair of fitted shorts.
In fact, the idol was taken aback and almost cursed when the video started playing. It was later revealed that the throwback snippets were just part of a video message from Jimin's dance instructor in high school.
"I taught modern dance to Jimin. During class, Jimin used to ask "How do you do this move? How do you do those moves?" Kim Do Kyung stated in the video, adding that the idol would even brag about his muscles after practicing his routine.
From being embarrassed, the BTS member was seen smiling while watching the video message from his high school teacher. Jimin was even surprised how the staff managed to locate his dance instructor for the episode.
According to Soompi, aside from Jimin's contemporary dance, "Shin Yang Nam Show" also played the video Jungkook's audition on "Superstar K3." Even before they debuted with BTS, their old videos have proven that these two idols have innate talents in singing and performing.
