The first three episodes of "Powerless" featured some small cameo and reference in DC universe especially Batman. The upcoming episode continues the trend but will focus on a villain who apparently works with "for hire" henchmen.

"Powerless" continues its shenanigans in the upcoming episode but with subtle changes on their subject. The first three episodes practically tells the story on how Emily (Vanessa Hudgens) eventually fit in the company and her colleagues. In the fourth episode, the focus shifts on Emily's personal life as encouraged by her workmates.
But the upcoming episode is not just about Emily. The online episode guide on TV.com reveals product developers Ron (Ron Funches) and Teddy (Danny Pudy) also discovered their boss's (Alan Tudyk) dream of becoming a superhero himself. Although it did not specify which character or attributes he wants, the clue lies on the recently discovered batarang (Batman's signature weapon) that also works as a boomerang.
Emily's personal life focused on her love life and the lack of it. Although she did find someone to swoon over, her team immediately points out that her date actually works for the villain Riddler. The villain's cameo in the upcoming episode seems unlikely but the preview images on the upcoming episode displays Riddler's logo on Emily's date.
Dipping Ratings
Fans of the series should brace for some bad news about the series. Although it's a great show with potential, the rating has dipped after its premiere according to TV by the Numbers. The show experienced more than 25% drop in viewers after its premiere but it's relatively steady on the third episode.
Fortunately, the show is on NBC - a network known for sticking to their shows even with lower ratings to give it a chance for growth. But the series have to push for something different to grab more viewers in the future.
