"Rick and Morty" is returning for another season on Adult Swim. Tidbits about the upcoming series are now online, as sites to tease and provide additional information of the upcoming season has now been created.
Continuation of Season 2
One of the best things about "Rick and Morty" is the fact that it's creators are really keen in pushing their animated series based on fans expectation. Although they do not provide anything for the upcoming season, they do have some interesting tie-ins that could offer some clues on the story.
A good tie-in is the Galactic Federation that provides comprehensive information about their services. (Warning: Spoilers) At the end of second season, the earth is already under the control of Galactic Federation, which explains the aliens roaming around and taking pictures as if they are on vacation and looking at wild animals.
However, aside from a confirmation that earth is already an alien travel destination, the official site of Galactic Federation also tags Rick as prisoner AE-3852-I and he's wanted for "Everything." It's a hilarious take on all he has done in different universes and realities.
Escaping from Jail with Inside Help
The picture of his prisoner profile is very telling: he has no possibility of escape because he's bound in his hands, feet and neck. The only way he could get out is with an inside help. Of course, no one knows who will help the mad scientist but someone will.
After all, Collider reported that the season three preview in San Diego Comic-Con features Rick escaping from jail while fighting a bunch of vicious lab rats. Although it doesn't indicate why he ended up in another insect-like body, it has to start somewhere. "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will have an explosive premiere with Rick looking to get out of jail.
