Vivian Stoll may not be the villain in "iZombie" Season 3, executive producer Rob Thomas recently hinted. He emphasized that the story does not focus on determining the main antagonist, but on choosing sides.

Thomas addressed questions about the "iZombie" Season 3 during the Television Critics Association panel, where he was ultimately asked about the new Big Bad in the show-Vivian Stoll (Andrea Savage). Naturally, fans wondered whether she plans to create problems in Seattle, especially when she brought her undead army with her to the city.

The Season 2 finale of the "iZombie" made it look like Vivian is the new villain in the story. It seems she could take over Vaughn Du Clark as the show's main antagonist. However, Thomas teased that this is not so. He said the "iZombie" Season 3 has a different approach to its storyline compared to Season 1 and 2.

"There were Big Bads who were pretty clearly doing awful things and both seasons ended up with cool showdowns. With Season 2 it was a full-on zombie movie where you had to escape from zombies and this season, we wanted to do something very different," TV Insider quoted Thomas as saying.

His statement hints that Vivian may not be the Big Bad in "iZombie" Season 3. Suffice to say, fans may never know who the main villain in the story is. Thomas said that the show does not have a "clearly defined antagonist."

Instead, the big mystery in "iZombie" Season 3 is determining which sides the people choose. All Vivian and her zombie army want is to survive, while Liv and her friends want to eradicate the undead. The big question is who among these teams are right.

Regardless, previous spoilers for the "iZombie" Season 3 teased that Vivian wants to turn Seattle into a zombie-infested city. Series creator Diane Ruggiero-Wright told SciFiNow UK that she will not stop until all the undead are recognized. This is why she decides to open the Scratching Post-a pub strictly for zombies, so the public will know they exist.
