The Marvel Cinematic Universe has hosted a reunion of sorts for the "Lord of the Rings" actors from the original trilogy to "The Hobbit" spinoff saga. Here's a comprehensive list of all the "LOTR" actors that appear in the MCU.

Liv Tyler

Tyler played Arwen in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, where she was the love interest of Vigo Mortensen's Aragorn. In the MCU, Tyler played Betsy Ross, the love interest of Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the 2008 film "The Incredible Hulk."

There are rumors that the actress would reprise his role as Betsy Ross in "Avengers: Infinity War." According to Movie Pilot, a report mentioned Tyler as one of the stars of the superhero film, starring alongside "Avengers" staples Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans.

Hugo Weaving

Weaving played Elrond, one of the lords of the Elves, in the "LOTR" franchise. In the MCU, he played "Captain America: The First Avenger" villain Red Skull.

Cate Blanchett,

Blanchett was Galadriel in the "Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" movies. She was an Elf leader and one of the most powerful characters in Middle Earth. In "Thor: Ragnarok," she's set to play another powerful character, this time a villain named Hela, queen of the underworld.

Lee Pace

Pace played Elvenking Tharanduil in "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" and "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies." He played a darker role in Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" as Ronan the Accuser.

Evangeline Lilly

Lilly's character in "The Hobbit" trilogy, Tauriel, did not appear in the books written by JRR Tolkien. The character was specifically written for the movies as a love interest to Orlando Bloom's Legolas. She will reprise her role as Hope Van Dyne in the upcoming "Ant-Man and Wasp."

Andy Serkis

Serkis gave a much-lauded performance as Gollum/Smeagol in "The Lord of the Rings" and the first "Hobbit" movie. In the MCU, he also plays another sinister character-Ulysses Klaue.

Richard Armitage

Armitage was Thorin Oakenshield, King under the mountain, in "The Hobbit" films. He had a much smaller role in "Captain America: The First Avenger" as Hydra agent Heinz Kruger.

Martin Freeman

Freeman was the star of "The Hobbit" trilogy as Bilbo Baggins, which is perhaps one of the most iconic character in the Tolkien universe. He made his way to the MCU as agent Everett Ross in "Captain America: Civil War."

Benedict Cumberbatch

Cumberbatch voiced two formidable foes "The Hobbit," namely Smaug the dragon and Sauron the necromancer. He also physically portrays Doctor Strange in the MCU as well as provided the voice for villain Dormammu.

Karl Urban

Urban was Eomer, Rider of Rohan, in "The Lord of the Rings." According to Comicbook.com, he's the axe-wielding supervillain Skurge in "Thor: Ragnarok."

BONUS: Ian McKellen

McKellen played the powerful Gandalf in "LOTR" and "The Hobbit." He also plays a powerful mutant in the "X-Men" films-Magneto. McKellen is not part of the MCU per se since the "X-Men" movies are under 20th Century Fox, while the MCU is Disney property. Nevertheless, the X-Men are part of the same Marvel comicbook universe.
